Allaire Spectra was an application server and content management system
built on ColdFusion in the late 1990s. It was designed for enterprise
web applications, offering features like workflow management,
personalization, user roles, and content syndication.
It was considered ahead of its time but was complex and expensive, which
contributed to its decline.
